Our Transitional Housing Programs
NextGen Young Adult Supportive Transitional Housing
Elevating Potential: From Vulnerability to Self-Reliance
Â
Navigating the path to adulthood can feel like an impossible climb for those without a stable network of support.
Â
NextGen Young Adult Transitional Housing is our premier initiative crafted specifically for individuals aged 18 to 25 who are recovering from fractured family bonds, economic hardship, or life-altering crises.
Â
Our mission is to offer a secure, mentorship-driven community where young people can find emotional grounding, recover from trauma, and actively design the blueprint for their own success.
Â
Using our integrated "single doorway" framework, NextGen delivers much more than a place to sleep.
Â
We provide a dynamic ecosystem that inspires residents to become the primary architects of their own stories.
Â
Within these walls, every young adult is given the peace and protection necessary to shed their anxieties, uncover hidden talents, and step boldly into their role as thriving, independent members of society.

Our NextGen Pillars of Development:
To prepare young adults for a lifetime of self-sufficiency, our program delivers targeted support across five core growth areas:
Stable Transitional Housing:
We provide clean, modern, and secure living arrangements for up to 24 months, giving young adults a consistent, safe home base where they can focus entirely on their personal and professional growth.
Independent Life Skills Training:
We equip residents with the practical, everyday tools essential for adulthood, including financial literacy and budgeting, grocery shopping, meal preparation, tenant rights, and home maintenance.
Educational & Career Pathways:
We bridge the gap to sustainable employment by assisting with resume writing, interview preparation, and direct connections to local post-secondary education, vocational training, and workforce initiatives.
Holistic Wellness & Personal Growth:
We foster total well-being by helping residents establish healthy daily routines, conflict resolution skills, self-advocacy, and emotional resilience to overcome the paralysis of past trauma.
Community Connection & Peer Support:
We break the cycles of isolation by encouraging positive social networks, peer mentorship, and active community engagement, ensuring our youth feel valued, heard, and connected.

Reclaiming Spirit and Space: Our Commitment to Indigenous Cultural Wellness.
At Healing Hearts, we walk in deep respect of the sacred land, histories, and enduring sovereignty of Indigenous peoples. We recognize that true restoration from crisis, trauma, and systemic disruption is fundamentally tied to cultural reclamation.
For our Indigenous adult residents, our housing model moves beyond basic stabilization; we actively champion a self-determined journey toward finding your roots, remembering your medicine, and walking back into your inherent strength.
True healing cannot happen in isolation from your ancestors or the earth. Therefore, we firmly encourage, support, and facilitate direct connection to your identity through our commitment to cultural continuity:
Sacred Fire & Ceremonial Spaces:
We respect and honour your right to absolute cultural expression. Our spaces are intentionally designed to accommodate sacred fires, tobacco offerings, and vital ceremonial practices.
Dedicated Smudge & Sweetgrass Rooms:
We provide safe, ventilation-conscious, and dedicated spaces within our facilities specifically designated for smudging with traditional medicines, including sweetgrass, sage, and cedar, ensuring you can cleanse your space and spirit daily without barriers.
Access to Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Traditional Healers:
Through our comprehensive external network, we maintain active partnerships with respected Elders and Cultural Advisors.
We seamlessly coordinate direct pathways for adults to receive traditional counseling, lineage teachings, and ancestral healing practices.
Cultural Navigation & Community Reconnection:
We understand that the colonial system can feel fragmented and isolating. Our advocates provide direct navigation support to help you reconnect with local urban Indigenous centers, cultural workshops, or your home community and territory when you are ready.
We hold a deep understanding that culture is medicine. Our role is not to address your path, but to protect your sacred right to access the ceremonies and traditional knowledge systems that have sustained your people since time immemorial.
The Right to Joy: Â Honourable the Journey of Young Adulthood.
While our program provides the structure needed to build independent futures, we believe that healing from trauma should never strip away the essence of youth.
True restoration requires balance.
We hold a deep conviction that our residents must still be allowed the space to simply be young adults, to discover their passions, build lifelong friendships, laugh freely, and experience the pure joy of life.
A successful transition into adulthood isn't just about paying bills or writing resumes; it is about reclaiming the right to happiness, fun, and personal exploration.
We intentionally cultivate an environment where celebration, shared meals, creative hobbies, and recreational activities are celebrated as vital components of the recovery journey.
We don't just prepare youth to survive independently, we empower them to truly thrive and enjoy the vibrant, beautiful life they are working so hard to build.
Harm Reduction Supportive Housing
Meet People Where They Are, Without Judgment
Stability First: 12-Month Recovery-Focused Housing with Zero JudgmentÂ
Â
Providing specialized care and stability, our Harm Reduction Supportive Housing program offers a safe, foundational environment for individuals at various stages of their recovery journey, prioritizing immediate safety and health advocacy.Â
Â
Our housing model is built on a foundation of wrap-around care, recognizing that true healing requires wrapping support around every area of a person’s life.Â
Â
We walk alongside our residents by coordinating comprehensive medical and mental health care, trauma stabilization, and personalized addiction treatment, while simultaneously providing practical life skills development and vocational training.Â
Â
Our mission is to gently guide individuals past the weight of trauma and substance use, empowering them to rebuild their lives, reclaim their independence, and safely step into a future filled with freedom, dignity, and lasting joy.

Ensuring a Safe, Substance-Free Environment
Â
While we are strictly a dry program, we do dot require perfection to qualify for housing. Â Instead we use immediate, secure shelter as A compassionate launchpad for long-term healing.

Note that while our supportive housing model focuses on long-term wellness, our program  is not a supervised consumption or harm reduction supply site.
Â
To guard the peace and safety of the collective community, we do not tolerate the use, distribution, or storage of illicit substances within our housing units. Â Instead, our hosing is fully substance free environment dedicated to supporting residents in their journey towards complete abstinence and sustained recovery.
Â
Accountability is a fundamental component of recovery. We expect every resident to uphold these standards, ensuring that our safe haven remains a protected space where healing can flourish without the interference of destructive influences.
Â
Our commitment is into safeguarding the integrity of this program, providing a clear boundary that allows everyone to focus entirely on their growth and long-term sobriety.
Support Through the Journey:
Our Approach to Lapses
We recognize that recovery is rarely a straight line, and a lapse outside the housing does not mean a person has failed.
Because we prioritize health advocacy and long-term stabilization, our response to a lapse is rooted in support rather than immediate eviction or punishment.
If a resident struggles our team will immediately wrap around them. We work collaboratively to assess their current needs, provide immediate stabilization care, and adjust their personalized recovery plan to help them safely get back on track.
Our goal is to protect the substance-free safety of our building while ensure no resident has to walk their recovery journey alone.
House Agreement: A Substance-Free Space
Our 'No Substances on Site' Policy
To protect the safety, routine, and recovery journey of every resident in our program, our transitional housing facility is strictly substance-free.
The Rule: No alcohol, cannabis, illegal drugs, or drug paraphernalia are permitted on the property at any time. Bringing these items on-site violates our community agreement.
The Reality: We understand that recovery is a journey and lapses can happen. If you struggle while away from the facility, you will not face instant judgment or automatic eviction.
Our Response: Instead of turning you away, our medical, mental health, and trauma teams will immediately wrap around you to provide the stabilization support you need to get back on track.
Our Dry Facility Policy
A Safe, Substance-Free Environment for Your Recovery Journey
To maintain a secure, stable, and healing environment for all residents, our transitional housing building is a strictly dry home.
Zero Tolerance on Site: No alcohol, cannabis, illegal substances, or related paraphernalia are permitted anywhere on the property.
Focus on Recovery: We meet you where you are at with zero judgment regarding your past, but we require a commitment to maintaining a substance-free environment on-site to protect your progress and the safety of your peers.
Support, Not Punishment: If you struggle or experience a lapse outside the facility, we will not automatically judicially evict or abandon you. Instead, our team will wrap around you with immediate mental health, medical, and counseling support to help you re-stabilize and keep moving forward.

Cultural Respect & Inclusivity
Honouring Identity and Heritage in Your Healing Journey
True stabilization requires connecting with who you are. We are deeply committed to providing an environment where every culture is respected and celebrated.
We proudly serve a diverse, multicultural base of residents and respect all human beings, providing equal, non-judgmental support no matter where you come from, what your background is, or what language you speak.
We put our commitment into action by actively connecting residents with trusted, community-based partners and experts to support your unique heritage and healing:
Indigenous Culture & Spirituality: We focus heavily on the wellness of Indigenous culture. We protect and ensure that traditional practices are provided by creating direct pathways and referrals to local Elders for spiritual guidance, traditional teachings, and mentorship.
Sacred Spaces & Ceremonies: We facilitate supported access to external, community-based sacred grounds and spaces for traditional ceremonies, smudging, and sweat lodges.

Adult Sober Living Transitional Housing
Embracing Aftercare, Cultivating Stability, and Reclaiming Your Future
Completing initial addiction treatment is a profound achievement, but the transition back into independent daily life requires a dedicated foundation of ongoing support.
Â
Our Adult Sober Living program is a structured, substance-free transitional housing framework specifically designed to bridge the gap between intensive recovery and lasting independence.
Â
We place a immense emphasis on the vital role of aftercare in addiction recovery, helping individuals discover renewed purpose through meaningful goals such as employment.
Â
Our housing provides a safe, accountable, and supportive environment where residents can solidify their sobriety while actively rebuilding their lives.
Â
Sustained sobriety is built on more than just the absence of substance use, it thrives on the creation of a meaningful, well-rounded life.
Â
Our program serves as an active launchpad where adults can safely transition away from the vulnerabilities of early recovery and step into a lifestyle defined by purpose, connection, and self-reliance.
Our Transitional Recovery Pillars
To foster permanent stability and help residents rebuild their lives from the ground up, our sober living framework prioritizes five essential areas of development:
Family Reconnection & Custody Navigation
We understand that healing family bonds is a deeply personal and crucial part of the recovery journey.
For some residents, our program provides a stable foundation to actively navigate regaining child custody; for others, it offers a supportive space to safely repair relationships and re-enter the family environment with confidence and emotional readiness.
Structured Daily Routines
True accountability begins with small, consistent choices.
Â
We help residents establish and maintain a healthy daily routine, including balanced wellness habits, household responsibilities, and organized scheduling, to combat stress, build self-discipline, and prevent the stagnation that often triggers relapse.
Overcoming addiction requires walking away from old, toxic  environments.
Â
Our housing model naturally fosters a positive community where residents establish new, healthy friendships and life-affirming relationships, creating an entirely new circle of sober peer support that elevates and holds them accountable.

A New Circle Of Support
Direct Career & Employment FocusÂ
Financial autonomy is a primary pillar of long-term freedom.

Our program places a exceptionally high focus on workforce re-entry, guiding residents through career and vocational planning, resume refinement, interview readiness, and direct connections to sustainable employment opportunities so they can successfully support themselves. Â
